Ristorante Luci to close on Dec 31, 2016

We want to share a small bit of news regarding our business. After long deliberation and discussion with the entire family, we have decided to end our lease at 470 Cleveland Avenue South, St. Paul, MN 55105 as of 12/31/2016. This has been home to Ristorante Luci for nearly 30 years.

As you know, Ristorante Luci is our original location for the Luci concept; today, that concept carries on at Luci Ancora, 2060 Randolph Avenue, now entering it’s 19th year in business. We have had some beautiful years in the cozy space of 470 Cleveland Avenue South. It is our Mother and Father’s original dream of sharing deliciously made, handcrafted Italian inspired dishes in a warm and inviting setting where we can gather with family, friends and acquaintances to enjoy. We are merging our 2 restaurants and focusing our passion and energy at Luci Ancora. We continue to be open to new business prospects and opportunities in the future.

We are so appreciative to all our employees current and past for participating and contributing in our passion. All our current staff will continue their employment at Luci Ancora.

We are forever grateful to all our loyal customers for supporting Ristorante Luci over the years from special occasions to evenings out with friends. We are hoping with the release of this news that our wonderful guests and friends will join us in celebration during the time we have left in the space at 470 Cleveland Avenue South.

Paolo Scavino is an historical winery in the Barolo region. It was founded in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto from Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo. Enrico Scavino together with the daughters Enrica and Elisa, fourth generation, run the family Estate. Since 2000, the Langhe D.O.C. SORRISO®, is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Viognier. A fresh white wine vinified and aged in stainless steel with distinctive character and finesse. A unique combination of these three varietals in the Langhe region which comes from the belief in our noble terroir able to enhance the elegance and complexity of the grapes.

Pale yellow with emerald hues. Fresh and charming nose with white flowers, sage, yellow and orange fruits in addition to mineral notes. The delicate flavors continue on the palate where a soft texture is combined with sapid and cleaning acidity.

Rosso is a blend which represents our autochthon varietals: The grapes from the younger vines of the Estate combined together, offer a fresh, aromatic, charming wine with a Piedmontese character.

Brilliant ruby-red with purple hints. Expressive, continuous and delicate aromas of red cherries and spices. Fresh in the nose and in the palate. Supple and joyful structure where the flavors are persistent and of a light nature.

A delicious red which expresses the brightness of the youth, to drink over the next year or two. Pretty easy with food pairings. Nice to combine with vegetarian dishes as well as with light antipasti, white meat, bluefish, fresh goat cheeses.
